The suspects were caught in the east of the Thai capital. They were hiding from the police in a hotel.

«The investigation has already established that the kidnapping of Mr. Yemelyanov was not related to debt collection, as the victim had no debts to the kidnappers. It was, apparently, a kidnapping for ransom,» police told RIA Novosti.

The detainees are 35-year-old Yaroslav Demidov and 38-year-old Dmitry Maskalev. CCTV cameras helped catch them, and from the recordings, it was possible to establish that the suspects knew the deceased and track their movements on the day of the murder. They will now be charged with joint murder, kidnapping and unlawful detention for ransom, and concealing a corpse to avoid punishment.

Mikhail disappeared under mysterious circumstances 23 days ago. He managed to send his relatives a photo of his companion, the address of his home, contacts, and asked them to track his geolocation.
