Ten sheep evacuated from burning warehouse in Leningrad Region
On the evening of 27 January, an industrial warehouse housing animals caught fire in the settlement of Mga in the Kirovsky District of Leningrad Region.
The fire covered an area of about 300 square meters. The structure was a storage warehouse with a total area of 2400 square meters, with a two-story aerated concrete annex, located on Zheleznodorozhnaya Street.
Four water tankers from the regional fire service arrived at the scene. Rescuers managed to lead ten sheep out of the fire. According to the EMERCOM department, the warehouse housed a personal subsidiary farm.
By 20:24, the fire was localized to an area of 150 square meters. There were no casualties, open flame was extinguished, but firefighters continue to douse the structure to prevent re-ignition.
