A drone attacked the Leventsovsky district of Rostov-on-Don overnight on 14 January. During the rubble clearance, the body of a man was discovered in one of the apartments.

The deceased was identified as Sergey Govorkov, a member of the Rostov Federation of Kyokushinkai Karate-do. According to neighbors, he saved his wife and four-year-old son by sheltering them in the hallway at the cost of his own life.

The woman sustained burns and is in a medical facility. The child was unharmed and is currently with his grandmother, awaiting his mother«s return.
The city administration has allocated the family a two-room apartment from the temporary housing stock for the period of restoration of their destroyed home. “During the attack, the head of the family died. The entrance of the multi-story building that was hit by the drone is severely damaged. Initially there was a threat of collapse, but experts concluded that the structure can be saved. Nevertheless, residents have not yet been able to return to their apartments.
