Teenager wounded in ear by flare gun on Stachek Avenue
In St. Petersburg, a conflict between teenagers escalated when one fired a signal pistol, wounding a 13-year-old in the ear. Police have detained the 15-year-old suspect.

The shooting occurred in the Kirovsky District of the city, in the yard of building 101 on Stachek Avenue. The incident was reported to law enforcement two days ago, and on January 27, the information was confirmed by the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (GU MVD).
According to police, the incident was preceded by a verbal altercation between two teenagers, which was provoked by a cat running between them. During the argument, one of the participants, a 15-year-old student, took out a «Hunter Signal» launching device and fired a shot towards the other teenager.
The 13-year-old sixth-grade student went to the trauma center on his own with an ear injury. Medics provided him assistance and released him in satisfactory condition. The victim«s mother filed a report, after which police initiated a criminal case under the article on hooliganism.
On January 26, officers of the Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (UMVD) managed to establish the identity of the suspect. He turned out to be a 15-year-old ninth-grade student. The teenager was detained and placed under arrest for two days.
