Teenager Opens Fire on Classmates and Teacher in Ufa
Authorities report the detained youth used an air gun during the incident at the school.
A ninth-grader opened fire at Gymnasium No. 16, reports a source from UFA1.RU.
According to the publication«s interlocutor, the teenager broke into the school with a traumatic pistol (later clarified to be an air gun — note by UFA1.RU) and opened fire on those inside. The source also claims that a sound similar to an explosion was allegedly heard before the incident.
Preliminarily, the number of casualties may reach three people. However, Bashkiria«s Deputy Prime Minister Ural Kilsenbayev denies the information about the wounded.

UPDATE: The Ministry of Internal Affairs clarified that the teenager is a ninth-grader, during the attack he used an air gun and fired towards three students and a teacher. The mayor of Ufa, Ratmir Mavliyev, claims that no one was injured. Criminal cases have been initiated, including for negligence, reports the Investigative Committee. The young man has been detained.
