On the morning of February 3, at the intersection of Marshala Novikova and Parashyutnaya streets in the northern district of St. Petersburg, a 51-year-old man driving a Nissan Murano SUV hit a 13-year-old schoolgirl who was trying to cross the road against a red light without adult supervision.
According to preliminary information, the driver did not manage to brake in time. The girl was taken to the hospital with serious injuries and placed in intensive care. The incident was reported on February 4 by the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for St. Petersburg and Leningrad Region (GU MVD).
