SUV Driver Brazenly Ignores No Entry Sign in Chita
A Toyota driver drove under a «No Entry» sign to park at a store on Stolyarova Street in Chita. A representative of the public project «Road Patrol» told a Chita.Ru correspondent on February 4.
«The intersection of Babushkina and Stolyarova streets in Chita. Today at lunchtime, a Toyota driver calmly entered the shopping center parking lot from Stolyarova Street under a «No Entry» sign. Not even the cameras at the intersection stopped the driver. We filed a complaint with the State Traffic Inspectorate (GAI), but later we were told that the arriving Road Patrol Service (DPS) squad simply did not find the car in the parking lot,» the publication«s interlocutor said.
In the video footage he provided, the license plate of the violating car is not visible. However, it is clearly visible that the driver is breaking the rules by moving along a one-way road from Babushkina Street, where turning is prohibited.
The Traffic Police department for the Trans-Baikal Territory confirmed the fact of the call to the duty station.
«We sent a patrol, but when officers arrived, the vehicle was no longer there. And the person who called the duty station did not provide the license plate number so we could investigate. If there is video showing the plate, it can be sent to the Traffic Police to hold the driver accountable,» a department representative commented.
