Suburban train rams car in Ulyanovsk region

On January 27, at around 8:30 a.m., a train and a car collided at a railroad crossing in Maina district, according to the Kuibyshev Railway. Preliminary reports indicate that the car driver drove onto the tracks in front of an approaching train. The driver of suburban train No. 6713 applied emergency brakes but could not avoid the collision. Fortunately, there were no casualties. The train continued on its journey. Details of the accident are being clarified.

Recall that on July 29, 2024, on the Gremyachaya–Kotelnikova section in Volgograd region, a passenger train collided with a KamAZ truck. As a result, five people from Ulyanovsk were injured. Two required hospitalization. Read more about it here.
