Student Shoots at Classmates and Teacher in Ufa School

A ninth-grader from Ufa opened fire on his classmates and history teacher. The incident occurred on the morning of February 3 at Gymnasium No. 16. The youth came to classes with a kitchen knife, a firecracker, and a toy rifle loaded with metal balls.

The boy managed to shoot at three classmates and the teacher. They did not sustain serious injuries; the teacher got away with a scratch. The youth also set off the firecracker. After all this, the young man was detained by police. Law enforcement opened a criminal case.

Accounts of the boy«s personality vary. Some say he was calm and did not raise suspicions, others insist he had already given cause for concern. In particular, the student allegedly had conflicts with his surroundings and the teacher he shot at.
