Steam causes traffic jam at central St. Petersburg intersection
On the afternoon of January 22, dense steam formed at the intersection of Radishcheva Street and Vilensky Lane in central St. Petersburg. This led to traffic difficulties.

The cause of the steam emission was repair work on the heating networks. Footage published on social media shows that the steam outlet is cordoned off, and motorists are forced to detour around this section.

The service «Yandex.Maps» displayed part of Vilensky Lane in burgundy color, indicating the formation of a traffic jam.
As reported by the press service of the company «Teploset», specialists are changing pipes at the following addresses:
- houses No. 7 and No. 32 on Baskov Lane;
- Radishcheva Street, house 33;
- heating chamber at the intersection of Vilensky Lane and Radishcheva Street.
During the repair work, heating and hot water supply will be temporarily cut off in nearby houses.
