The incident occurred at the Arabeska hotel, where two residents of Pushkin stayed on January 31.
A hotel administrator in Arkhyz allegedly insulted guests and suggested resolving issues aggressively, leading to their departure.
In the evening of the same day, they discovered several malfunctions in the room:
- a shower with three weak streams,
- a non-working drain,
- a damaged stretch ceiling.
One of the guests, Boris, sent photos of the problems to the hotel owner. Soon, the administrator came to the room and, according to the guests, began behaving extremely aggressively.
«From the first minutes, he started behaving aggressively: shouting, being rude, and threatening, stating that I »am not a man« since I appealed to the owner and didn»t «resolve issues with him personally.» Upon the request to calmly fix the malfunctions, a new wave of insults followed. He repeatedly invited me to «step outside and talk» and suggested «settling it like men.» After that, we decided to leave the hotel immediately, as we considered further stay unsafe,« Boris said.
On an audio recording of the dialogue, which the tourist managed to make, it can be heard that the administrator offered two options: repair the toilet or move the men to another room. The guests refused these offers and left on the morning of February 1, having previously informed the tour operator about what happened.
Representatives of the Arabeska hotel confirmed the fact of the conflict. According to them, the incident arose due to differences in characters and mentalities.
«This is a hotel, something breaks, some leave, others check in. The room is depreciating. Today they were offered repair, and they were also offered to move to another room. We have a rating of 5.0, for me this story was very surprising, that the administrator communicated rudely. ... They have a slightly different mentality in KCR (Karachay-Cherkessia Republic). Perhaps something on this basis. We apologized, tried to clarify this issue,» the hotel stated.
According to the official website, the hotel recently resumed operation after renovation and increasing the number of rooms. All of them have a mountain view, and the guest rating is 5.0 based on more than 200 positive reviews.
