The press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for St. Petersburg reported on February 4 that they are searching for a Toyota Camry driver who used pepper spray against another driver holding a one-month-old infant.
The conflict erupted the previous morning near building 6 on Komsomola Street in the Kalininsky District. The victim, a resident of the Bugry settlement, rebuked the Toyota driver for a careless maneuver on the road. In response, the driver approached the man as he was placing the infant into a car seat and sprayed a gas canister in his direction. The spray hit the newborn girl.
The parents immediately took the child to a medical facility. Doctors diagnosed a burn on the eyelid of the one-month-old girl, provided necessary treatment, and released her home.
Currently, police are actively searching for the Toyota driver. A criminal case is being prepared over the incident.
