Police reported the detention of a vandalism suspect in the Vyborgsky District of St. Petersburg on February 1. A criminal case was initiated after the bus incident.

On the evening of January 25, the driver of the vehicle, a 50-year-old man, contacted law enforcement. According to him, near house 44 on Bolshoy Sampsonievsky Prospekt, a passenger got off the bus and smashed the front door window with a bottle.

As investigators established, the cause of the property damage was a conflict with the conductor over refusal to pay the fare. On this basis, a criminal case was initiated under the article on vandalism.

As a result of investigative measures, on the evening of January 30, near house 62 on the same prospect, a 37-year-old man was detained. It was revealed that he had previously been repeatedly brought to criminal responsibility.
