Spontaneous memorial in Orsk for pilots killed in crash

In Orsk, a spontaneous memorial has been organized in memory of the pilots killed today in the Dzhantalap area in a training plane crash. Townspeople are bringing flowers to the «Aviators of All Generations» monument. Among those who expressed grief is the head of Orsk, Artem Vorobyov.

Recall that on 2 February 2026 at 12:51, a message was received by the «112» dispatcher about the crash of a Diamond DA-40 aircraft with registration number RA-02673. It crashed in the area of the Dzhantalap settlement.

On board were three people: 36-year-old Vasily N. (pilot-instructor), as well as 21-year-old Dmitry S. and 20-year-old Timofey K. (cadets).

All three died: Timofey«s father spoke with colleagues from E1.RU, and Dmitry»s mother with colleagues from MSK1.RU. The head of Orsk, Artem Vorobyov, and the governor, Yevgeny Solntsev, promised to provide any assistance to the relatives and loved ones of the deceased. Condolences were also expressed by the head of Buguruslan, Dmitry Dyachenko — it is in this city that there is a «flight school», about whose aircraft emergencies we reported — in the region, over 5 years, 5 emergencies have occurred with «Diamonds».

The crashed aircraft belonged to the St. Petersburg State University of Civil Aviation. A pre-investigation check was conducted, and a criminal case has already been initiated. In Rosaviation (Federal Air Transport Agency), the incident was classified as a catastrophe: the investigation will be handled by the Inter-State Aviation Committee.
