On the evening of 21 January, the Yandex Delivery service in Yekaterinburg fell victim to a large-scale spam attack. According to an employee of the service, dozens of delivery drivers arrived at the Passage building after receiving fake orders.
One of the drivers shared details: «All drivers are converging on one place. Orders have been flying in here for two hours already.»
According to an eyewitness, the fake orders were actively being sent to cargo taxi drivers.
Representatives of Yandex reacted to the situation: «We are looking into the situation and will be ready to provide an answer based on the results of the investigation.»
Currently, the identity of the attack organizers and their motives remain unclear.
