Slyusar announces temporary closure of Rostov's Temernik market

The governor called Temernik a «toxic cluster of the Don capital»
Bailiffs have suspended the operation of trading facilities at the Temernik market in Rostov. Governor Yury Slyusar reported this on his Telegram channel.
According to him, over the years, the market has turned into a «toxic cluster of the Don capital: a breeding ground for crime, counterfeit goods, and illegal migration.»
«Gray schemes have flourished there for decades, depriving the city and regional budget of honestly earned taxes,» Slyusar wrote.
He added that such «islands of disorder and lawlessness» will not exist on the land of the Rostov region. Instead, the region is moving towards civilized, legal trade.
«We are doing this, first and foremost, for the safety, comfort, and well-being of Rostov residents,» Slyusar stated.
As reported by 161.RU, the day before, the governor announced the start of a street trading reform in the Rostov region.
