Sirens Sound in Novorossiysk and Gelendzhik Amid Drone Threat
Sirens were activated in multiple cities across Krasnodar Krai following a drone threat declaration.
In Krasnodar Krai, a drone threat was declared on January 27 around 18:40. At 20:26, sirens were activated in Novorossiysk, and 15 minutes later, the alert system was launched in Gelendzhik and the neighboring settlements of Divnomorskoye and Kabardinka. The head of Tuapsinsky District also announced the threat, but sound systems have not been activated there yet.
“If you are at home — do not approach the windows. Take shelter in a room whose windows do not face the sea or in windowless rooms with solid walls (corridor, bathroom, toilet, pantry),” advised Novorossiysk Mayor Andrey Kravchenko.
In addition, according to Rosaviatsiya (the Federal Air Transport Agency), restrictions on the operation of Krasnodar and Gelendzhik airports have been in effect since 19:30. During nighttime hours, they are not accepting flights, and if the ban is not lifted, morning departures may be postponed.
