On the morning of January 20, a shooting incident occurred in the Primorsky District of St. Petersburg. Several traffic police patrol cars were present at the scene.
Preliminary reports indicate the incident was linked to an attempted detention of a driver by police.
An eyewitness reported: «There was shooting in the courtyards between Bogatyrsky Prospekt and Sitsevaya Street, and many traffic police cars. It all happened between 11 a.m. and 12 p.m.»
Published footage shows a black car quickly leaving the scene, with traffic police officers rushing after it.
According to preliminary data, the shooting was related to an attempt to detain a driver.
The press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region promised to provide additional information in the near future.
