She-Wolf Mauls Chained Dog in Ust-Ilimsk, Paw Left

In Ust-Ilimsk, a she-wolf mauled a dog that was sitting on a chain. Now local residents are worried about children who go to school. This was reported in the public group «Incident Ust-Ilimsk».

The predator was spotted recently in the gardening community «Samorodok». In the middle of the night, in front of local residents, the wolf killed the dog on the chain and dragged it into the forest. Only a paw was left from the dog.

«In this area, families with children live permanently. Children go to school, and early in the morning,» worried residents of Ust-Ilimsk said.

Deputy Mayor of Ust-Ilimsk Yevgeny Starikov confirmed to the journalist from «IrCity» the information that locals saw a wolf. He also emphasized that it is a she-wolf. Data about her has been passed to the service for the protection and use of wildlife.

In turn, the service clarified that this is an isolated case. An inspector went to the site who recorded «wolf track activity». Work is now underway to track the individual.
