Power outages are persisting in some settlements in Saratov Region due to adverse weather conditions observed over the weekend. This was reported by Governor Roman Busargin.

«More than 70 crews from the »Rosseti Volga« branch—»Saratovskiye Raspredelitelnyye Seti«—are involved in restoration work,» the regional head wrote.

He clarified that the situation is under constant control by the regional government, and district heads are paying special attention to ensuring power supply for social facilities: schools, hospitals, and kindergartens.

«The regional authorities are providing all necessary support to the company to restore power supply as soon as possible,» the governor emphasized. However, he did not specify how many settlements are without electricity.

Earlier, the Hydrometeorological Center had warned of severe weather conditions in the region, including snowfalls, wet snow adhesion, and strong winds, which could cause damage to power lines.

In comments under the governor«s post, people began asking questions about resolving the situation. For instance, user Natalia K. claims there has been no power or water for the second day in the village of Karpenka, Krasnokutsky District. »And this was even before the bad weather. They could at least organize water delivery for the elderly!« the woman indignantly wrote.

«What adverse conditions? It»s just a typical winter with a thaw for our region. Is the region unprepared for winter? What emergency situations? Tell people the truth,« a subscriber named Tatiana addressed Busargin.

In the settlements of Rimsky-Korsakovka, Podshibalovka, Yemelyanovka, and Bobov in Krasnopartizansky District, the power is regularly cut off. Sometimes it«s off for up to 10 hours. Moreover, local residents» heating systems are dependent on the electricity supply.

«People are freezing, phones are dying—there»s no way to call an ambulance if needed,« user Marina points out the problem.

Complaints about the lack of electricity are also coming from the village of Dolina in Fedorovsky District.
