Settlements in Three More Districts of Arkhangelsk Oblast Lose Electricity

Electricity has gone out in parts of the Mezensky, Velsky, and Lensky municipal districts. The administrations« reports were published almost simultaneously.

The company «Rosseti Severo-Zapad» said that power engineers are already restoring electricity supply after the outages.

«Specialists left for the site immediately after receiving a signal about a technical failure and started work. Backup power supply schemes are being organized in parallel. Electricity supply will be restored in the near future,» is stated on the district administrations« pages in identical wording.

Earlier in Arkhangelsk Oblast, residents of Pinezhevsky and part of Kholmogorsky districts were also left without power for a time. Electricity has already been restored.

At the end of December, an accident also left Pinezhevsky and part of Kholmogorsky district without electricity. The cause of the outages was heavy snowfall, not ceasing in different parts of Pomorye. According to the governor, for several days the Arkhangelsk branch of «Rosseti Severo-Zapad» has been working in a state of heightened readiness. Over 2,000 kilometers of power lines were downed.
