Second Heating Accident Hits Darasun Village on February 2

Heating supply for residents of Darasun village was interrupted for the second time on February 2 due to an accident on the heating system. As reported to Chita.Ru by Alexey Ustyushenko, deputy head of Karymsky District, a gasket was blown out on a valve in the heat pipeline.

«On the main pipeline along Sovetskaya Street, a valve split earlier, and it was replaced. The boiler house returned to normative indicators, and nearby, on another valve, a gasket was blown out. The accident was detected at 21:00, and it should already be fixed,» said the deputy head.

Earlier, heating was interrupted for about an hour. At 19:00, supply was resumed.

This is not the first incident in Darasun. Earlier, on January 21, an accident occurred on the heat pipeline in the village. During severe frosts, heating was completely stopped. 2,250 consumers were left without heat, including minors and disabled people. In homes, air temperatures dropped below the optimal values set by sanitary norms. The Investigative Committee initiated a criminal case under signs of a crime provided for in Part 1, Article 293 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation «Negligence» due to improper performance of duties by officials. According to the investigation, officials improperly fulfilled their legal duties in preparing for the heating season — 2025–2026 in Darasun.
