Schoolgirl uses pepper spray on bus passenger in St. Petersburg
A 16-year-old schoolgirl has been detained in St. Petersburg for using pepper spray against a man who reprimanded her on public transport. A criminal case has been initiated on charges of hooliganism.

On 22 January, the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for St. Petersburg and Leningrad Oblast reported the detention of a minor on suspicion of hooliganism. The incident occurred on 18 January on bus No. 121 traveling through the Kalininsky District of the city.
According to investigators, the conflict erupted after a 60-year-old passenger reprimanded the 16-year-old girl. In response, she sprayed a stream from the canister into his face and quickly left the vehicle.
Police officers identified the alleged offender and detained her on Grazhdansky Prospect. The teenager was taken to the internal affairs department accompanied by her mother.
A criminal case has been initiated against the schoolgirl for hooliganism. She has already been formally charged, and the issue of selecting a preventive measure is currently being decided.
