Schoolboy Hit by Geely Emgrand After Getting Off Tram on Gryanova Street
A Geely Emgrand hit a 9-year-old boy after he got off a tram at a stop on Gryanova Street.
On Gryanova Street in Magnitogorsk, a Geely Emgrand driver hit a 9-year-old boy who had gotten off a tram. The schoolboy suffered injuries, the city«s State Traffic Inspectorate (GAI) reported on Thursday, January 29.
The 9-year-old pedestrian sustained injuries and was prescribed outpatient treatment following the accident.
The accident occurred on Wednesday. The 52-year-old driver ran over the boy near house No. 46/1.
“He hit a minor pedestrian who was getting off the tram during passenger disembarkation at the stop. As a result of the accident, the 9-year-old pedestrian sustained bodily injuries and was prescribed outpatient treatment,” the GAI specified.
Cases have been initiated under Article 12.24 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation, “Violation of traffic rules or vehicle operation rules resulting in light or moderate harm to the victim«s health,” and Article 12.18, “Failure to yield to pedestrians.”
An administrative investigation is underway.
