School evacuated in Pyshma over terror threat

On February 3, in the town of Pyshma, Sverdlovsk Oblast, an emergency evacuation of a school was conducted.
All students and staff were evacuated from the building, and roads in the area were blocked by law enforcement officers.
Police, EMERCOM (Ministry of Emergency Situations) rescuers, and ambulance medics are working at the scene.
The reason for the evacuation was a terrorist threat. As reported by the administration of Pyshminsky Municipal District, a letter with a statement about mining the school was received by the email of the administration secretary.
It stated that if the building was not evacuated within two and a half hours, the consequences would be severe.
«Information about the bomb threat was urgently conveyed to the head of Pyshminsky Municipal District and his deputies. They took all necessary measures and contacted emergency services. The building is being inspected, and the results are not yet known,» explained the administration.
Recall that last spring in Yekaterinburg, a school on ZhBI was also evacuated. Then, a man with a box claimed that there was a bomb inside. Rosgvardia (National Guard of Russia) was called to the scene, and the perpetrator was detained.
