School Bus Ban After Fatal Tyumen-Omsk Highway Crash

The school whose student died on the Tyumen-Omsk highway in May this year has been banned from transporting children. The information was published on the official pages of the press service of the courts of Omsk Region.

«The court brought to administrative responsibility »Malinovskaya Srednyaya Obshcheobrazovatelnaya Shkola (Malinovskaya Secondary School)« for gross violations of licensing requirements in passenger transportation. The educational institution»s bus operations have been suspended,« the court wrote.

Inspections by regulatory authorities revealed numerous gross violations. The minibus was not entered into the license register, waybills were issued with violations, and driver medical examinations were conducted formally.

«The school principal admitted guilt, violations are being addressed, and the bus is currently not in use,» the department added.

In the crash that prompted the inspection, one child died, and nine other people sustained various injuries.
