School Banned From Transport After Student Dies in Crash

In May 2026, a traffic accident involving a school bus occurred on the Tyumen–Omsk highway. One child died in the crash, and nine other people sustained injuries of varying severity. The incident prompted an inspection of the educational institution.
Following the inspection, a court in Omsk region brought Malinovskaya Secondary School to administrative responsibility. According to the press service of the region«s courts, »the educational institution«s activity in terms of operating the bus has been suspended» due to gross violations of licensing requirements in passenger transport.
During the supervisory measures, numerous violations were identified:
- The bus was not listed in the license register;
- Waybills were issued with violations;
- Drivers« medical examinations were conducted perfunctorily.
The school principal admitted guilt and stated that the violations are being addressed. The bus is currently not in use.
