Saratov trolleybus passenger sprays driver with pepper spray

On the morning of the previous day in Saratov, a trolleybus passenger, during a conflict with the driver, attempted to strike him and sprayed pepper spray in his direction. Details of the incident were provided by the press service of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs (MVD).

The report of the attack was received by police at 09:45. The conflict between the driver and passenger occurred in the cabin of trolleybus No. 109, at the intersection of Moskovskaya and Chapayev streets. The injured driver subsequently sought medical attention.

Police detained the 28-year-old attacker, who is considered the instigator of the fight. He had no prior convictions. A criminal case has been initiated against him under Part 2 of Article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation for hooliganism with the use of weapons, and he faces up to five years in prison.
