Russian Travel Blogger Killed in Thailand Crash

Russian travel blogger Vadim died in a road traffic accident on the island of Phuket in Thailand. This was reported by his friend Anton Yefimov on social media.
‘My friend Vadim was in a very severe accident while riding a sports bike from Samui to Phuket. For me personally, this is a huge shock, but Vadim was killed in the crash,’ Anton wrote on Instagram* (owned by Meta, which is recognized as extremist and banned in Russia).
As reported by the publication ‘Regnum,’ a friend named Darya who was riding with Vadim was also injured in the accident. The girl sustained serious injuries and was hospitalized. Her condition is described as serious, and surgery is planned in the near future.
Vadim and Darya were riding a sports motorcycle when a car driven by a local woman hit their rear wheel. As a result of the collision, the blogger flipped over and hit his head on the curb. His helmet cracked, and he lost consciousness. Doctors fought for the Russian«s life but were unable to save him.
The 23-year-old Vadim ran a popular travel account with an audience of over 15.5 thousand subscribers. The young man regularly shared videos from his travels and organized tours. He was also one of the founders of a community for Russian-speaking residents of Phuket. The community helped them find work and socialize.
The activities of Meta Platforms, Inc. in implementing its products—social networks Facebook and Instagram—are recognized as extremist and prohibited in Russia.
