Rosgvardia officer stabbed in St. Petersburg metro
In the St. Petersburg metro, an erratic female passenger wounded a Rosgvardia employee with a knife. The woman had previously been detained for drug intoxication.

On the evening of July 20 at around 22:30, an incident involving a Rosgvardia (Russian National Guard) employee from the Nevsky District occurred in a metro car at the Alexander Nevsky Square station. The woman noticed a female passenger who was behaving erratically, alternately falling to the floor and climbing onto seats.
The Rosgvardia officer approached the girl and tried to calm her down. After assessing her unstable condition, she contacted the driver and asked to summon a police squad to the nearest station.
When the train arrived at the platform, the officer took the passenger by the arm and began to lead her out of the car. At that moment, the girl unexpectedly pulled out a knife and struck the officer«s hand several times. The attacker was detained by the arriving police squad and taken to the station.
It was revealed that the detainee was born in 2008 and had previously been caught multiple times under the influence of drugs. After handing over the passenger to the police, the injured Rosgvardia employee went to a trauma center. A criminal case has not yet been opened.
