Resident Fined for Cursing Police Over Gas Station Queue

A resident of the Nizhny Novgorod region was fined for swearing at police officers who drove to the gas station out of turn. The case of administrative offense was heard by the Kulebaki City Court in early July.

According to court materials, the incident occurred at a Lukoil gas station around 12 p.m. The man was waiting in line at one of the pumps when police officers drove up in a service vehicle. Outraged, he began cursing the officers without restraint, and at one point, he even got out of his car and continued his profanity-laced tirade.

He was detained for disturbing public order and taken to the police station, where a report was filed. It turned out the man had previously been held accountable for petty hooliganism. At the court hearing, he admitted his guilt and apologized to the officers. He was ultimately fined 700 rubles (about $7).
