Samara rescuers reported on the search for an elderly fisherman on the Volga. The rescue operation was conducted by a team from Tolyatti.
«On January 30, a fisherman born in 1957 got lost on the Volga waters near the village of Novodevichye. He had crossed the Volga but couldn»t return. A blizzard picked up, and the fisherman lost his bearings toward home,« the Search and Rescue Service of the Samara Region reported.
At 16:25, the «Sever» airboat was sent to search for the missing man. At 17:35, the fisherman was located on the water and brought to shore. The man refused medical assistance.
At the end of January, specialists rescued a man from caves in the Sergiyevsky District. To get better access, they had to widen the cave entrance.
