Renault-Datsun collision on Kazan-Orenburg highway leaves two injured
A Renault and a Datsun were involved in a serious head-on crash on the Kazan-Orenburg route.
Another serious road accident occurred in Orenburg Oblast. This time, according to the press service of the regional police department, it happened in the Sol-Iletsk municipal district. It occurred the day before, on February 2, around noon, 4 kilometers from Sol-Iletsk — at the 66th kilometer of the Kazan-Orenburg-Akbulak highway to the border with Kazakhstan.
The Datsun on-Do overturned after veering off the road into a ditch.
According to preliminary information, a 26-year-old female driver of a Renault Logan moved into the oncoming lane (which is not prohibited at this location), where her car collided head-on with a Datsun on-Do, which after the powerful impact veered into a ditch and overturned.
Police officers are at the site conducting an investigation into the accident.
Two people were injured: the 42-year-old driver and a 45-year-old passenger of the Datsun. Police are conducting an inspection, clarifying the circumstances, and determining who will be held responsible for this accident.
