Rail Accident near Vsevolozhsk: Fatality and Train Delays

On Wednesday evening, the regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM) reported a fatal accident on a railway section near Vsevolozhsk in Leningrad Oblast. The information was posted on the agency«s Telegram channel.
According to preliminary information, a commuter train ran over a man who was on the tracks. The arriving ambulance team confirmed his death. The incident occurred on the Devyatkino – Kapitolovo section, at the 15th kilometer, picket No. 6.
The incident led to delays for three commuter trains:
- train No. 6555 was delayed by 46 minutes;
- train No. 6357 was late by 35 minutes;
- train No. 6557 was delayed by 13 minutes.
Traffic on the section has been fully restored. The circumstances of the incident are currently being established.
