Prosecutor's office checks emergency landing of Phuket-Barnaul flight

The cause of the emergency landing was the technical condition of the aircraft.
The Krasnoyarsk Transport Prosecutor«s Office has begun an investigation into the circumstances of the emergency landing of an Azur Air aircraft, which was operating flight Phuket-Barnaul.
As reported by the West Siberian Transport Prosecutor«s Office, on 23 January around noon Moscow time, a Boeing 757 made an unscheduled landing at Lanzhou Airport in China. The reason was the technical condition of the aircraft. The prosecutor»s office is monitoring the observance of passengers« rights.
It was previously reported that the landing proceeded normally, without incident. There were 238 passengers and 7 crew members on board; no one was injured. Specialists are assessing the technical condition of the aircraft to determine the exact causes of the incident. The airline is taking all necessary measures for the further flight of passengers to their destination.
