The incident occurred at 142 Plekhanov Street. The man was leaving the building entrance when a block of ice fell on his head. By a stroke of luck, he survived but sustained injuries.

His wife subsequently published a post on social media accusing the managing company of inaction, claiming they had failed to clear ice from the roofs for a long time.

«Based on the results of the inspection, prosecutors will also assess the actions of the managing company»s responsible officials for signs of a crime under Article 238 of the Russian Criminal Code and will take other prosecutorial response measures,« the prosecutor»s office said.

However, after arriving at the scene, the prosecutor«s office reported that the inspection did not reveal any violations.

«Employees of the Tula Proletarsky District prosecutor»s office, having arrived at the scene together with representatives of the administration and the managing organization, established that the roof of the apartment building, the number of which is indicated in the publication, was cleared of ice. Residents have no complaints against the managing company. Patients injured as a result of falling ice have not been admitted to the city«s medical institutions,» the department stated.

It is unclear where the complaint came from if the building is in order and the snow has been cleared. It is likely that the incident happened sometime earlier, but the publication appeared only now.
