Power Outage Hits Yekaterinburg's Uralmash District, Restoration in Two Hours

On the evening of January 24, Uralmash was left without electricity. Local residents reported this to E1.RU.
«Uralmash is without power again. Ordzhonikidze Avenue,» shared reader Zhanna.
«The Izbirateley Quarter, 40th Anniversary of October Street, Pobedy Street, and Lomonosova Street are without power,» wrote Yekaterina.
«Krasnopolyansky Lane, Zeleny Lane, Narodnogo Fronta Street — no power. No notification was given about the outage,» reported Viktor.
The press service of Rosseti Ural (the Urals power grid company) explained that the outage occurred due to a fault in the distribution network.
«As a result, power supply is partially limited in the Uralmash microdistrict, specifically in the square bounded by Respublikanskaya, Molodezhi, Pobedy, Kalinina, and Uralskikh Rabochikh streets,» E1.RU was informed by the energy company«s press service.
Power supply is promised to be restored within two hours.
We previously reported how recently, in several settlements, thousands of Sverdlovsk residents were left without power. Some had to spend the night by candlelight. The situation was worsened by severe frosts. As explained by energy workers, many consumers exceed the established power norms, causing equipment to fail.
