In Omsk, a criminal case is being investigated over a traffic accident that occurred in November 2024 on Lisitskogo Street in the Kirovsky District. A law enforcement officer struck a 14-year-old girl who was crossing the road. After the incident, the police officer fled the scene. The teenager sustained serious injuries and now requires long-term treatment.
It emerged that the investigation of the criminal case had been delayed. Because of this, the mother of the young Omsk resident had to appeal to the reception office of the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF), Alexander Bastrykin.
The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Alexander Bastrykin, ordered the head of the Investigative Directorate of the ICRF for Omsk Region, Vitaly Batishchev, to appoint a forensic examination at the Federal State Institution «Forensic Expert Center of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation,» expedite the investigation of the criminal case, and present a report on the results,« the press office of the ICRF reported.
The investigation of the criminal case began in June of last year. It is being monitored by the central office.
