In Sochi, police have identified the father who bathed young children in the cold sea, according to the press service of the Sochi Department of Internal Affairs (UVD).
Officers from the Central District police department quickly identified the local resident, whose actions sparked significant public outcry. The police investigation was prompted by a video that spread online. Witnesses captured the man immersing underage children in the winter sea.
An operational group consisting of juvenile affairs inspectors (PDN) and criminal investigation officers immediately went to the family«s residence. During the conversation, the Sochi resident explained his actions as a »hardening method« for the children.
— The investigation into this matter is ongoing. Based on its results, a lawful procedural decision will be made regarding the father. Attention is being paid to assessing the living conditions and well-being of the minors in the family, — the statement says.
