Police help Yakutsk man with broken leg in -30°C weather

Police in Yakutsk assisted a man who slipped and broke his leg in -30°C (-22°F) weather. They visited him in the hospital the next day with fruits and well-wishes.

Police from Yakutsk helped a city resident who broke his leg on the street. The man slipped on the sidewalk and fell; senior investigator of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MVD) Victoria Skrybykina was passing by and stopped to help him, and shortly after, two more officers joined her. This was reported on February 2 in the Telegram channel «MVD Media».

The victim was conscious but could not stand up and was screaming in pain. She called medics and phoned the man«s relative to inform about the incident. At that moment, Lieutenant Hagani Tagiev and Junior Sergeant Anton Nikonov were passing by and also decided to help: they covered the man with a warm blanket and monitored his condition.

When the ambulance arrived, they helped load the victim into the vehicle and handed over his personal belongings. At the hospital, he was diagnosed with a fracture of the tibia.

The day after the fracture, the police visited the patient and brought fruits with wishes for a speedy recovery, and the victim thanked the officers for their help.
