In Kazan on July 18, a Saturday, a boat sank. This was reported to a correspondent of 116.RU by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MChS) of Tatarstan. Eyewitnesses shared video — judging by the footage, everything happened in the area of the «Chasha».

The captain evacuated two passengers to another boat before the vessel sank.

The sunken vessel was noticed by our interlocutor — a part of the boat was protruding from the water.

«At 7 pm I was passing by — it was still there. It sank deeper, on the contrary. They just made a marker, a buoy from life jackets,» — an eyewitness told us.

The press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations added that there were three people on the boat: two passengers and the captain. There were no casualties, they did not require rescuer assistance.

«The captain gave them life jackets and transferred them to another vessel, so they reached the shore,» — the department commented.

Why the boat sank, who it belonged to and whether it was retrieved from the water — is still unknown.
