Pipe bursts put Tula hospital's water supply at risk

An alarming appeal has appeared on social networks from a person who identified themselves as a medical worker at the State Healthcare Institution «Tula City Clinical Hospital No. 2». According to them, utility accidents are occurring one after another at the institution, and another water supply system breach could lead to a critical situation.
The author of the message claims that due to these problems, there is a real threat that the hospital will be left without water. For a medical facility, this is unacceptable and directly impacts patient safety and staff work, they say. The publication states that the accidents are allegedly regular, with measures being taken untimely or formally, and the causes of the incidents are not being addressed. Appeals, as the author asserts, do not yield real results.
It is also emphasized that the lack of water supply could lead to the disruption of medical care, violation of sanitary norms, and create a direct threat to people«s health. The appeal includes a request to higher medical authorities and competent bodies to take control of the situation and ensure the urgent elimination of the causes of the accidents.
The editorial team attempted to contact the hospital to obtain a comment and confirm the information, but at the time of publication, they were unable to get through. There is no official confirmation of the details yet.
It should be noted that in 2022, the day hospital building underwent a major renovation as part of the program to modernize the primary healthcare sector. In the five-story building, the outpatient surgery department, day hospital, and specialists« offices were completely updated, the roof and engineering communications were repaired, new plumbing was installed, and furniture was purchased for wards and staff rooms. Additionally, with funds from the regional budget, two more floors with a round-the-clock therapeutic inpatient unit were put in order, and an elevator was installed.
