Pensioner injured in head-on car collision in Voronezh region

In the Voronezh region, two cars collided head-on, injuring a pensioner, according to the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MVD).
The accident occurred on Thursday, January 22, around noon near house No. 37 on Dorozhnaya Street in Borisoglebsk. Preliminary police reports indicate that a 55-year-old man driving a «semerka» car (a Lada model) veered into the oncoming lane and crashed head-on into a Lada Vesta. The driver of the Vesta was a 72-year-old man.
A 71-year-old female passenger in the Vesta was injured in the collision and was taken to the hospital.
Overall, 130 traffic accidents were recorded in the region on Thursday. The majority occurred in Voronezh (95), followed by districts in the region (31), and federal highways (4). Two people were injured in two separate accidents.
