Passengers of Emergency-Landed Phuket Flight to Return to Barnaul on Saturday

Passengers of the flight from Phuket, which was forced to land in China, will arrive in Barnaul on Saturday, January 24, at 7:40 a.m. This was reported by the Ministry of Transport of the Altai Territory.
According to preliminary data, the condition of passengers and crew members does not cause concern. The carrier airline has already organized a reserve aircraft to deliver people to their destination.
According to official information from the airline, the reserve aircraft will land in Barnaul at the specified time. It also became known that the return flight from Barnaul to Phuket will depart at 11:10 on the same day.
Recall that on January 23, over Chinese territory, from the board of the Azur Air airliner performing a flight from Phuket to Barnaul, a distress signal was received. Soon the liner safely landed in Lanzhou. According to preliminary information from SHOT, the cause of the emergency signal was the failure of one of the engines — it is reported about the failure of the oil pressure sensor and loss of thrust. The West Siberian Transport Prosecutor«s Office has begun an investigation into the incident.
