A passenger plane operated by Satena crashed in Colombia, with rescue services locating the wreckage. All 15 people on board died, according to TV channel Noticias Caracol.

“The unified coordination center confirmed the discovery of the Satena aircraft, which lost contact earlier today. The plane crashed in the Curasic area, in the rural zone of the municipality of La Playa de Belen. There are no survivors,” the message states.
Among the dead are Diogenes Quintero, a deputy of the House of Representatives of the Colombian Congress, and candidate for deputy Carlos Salcedo. Also on board were former Ocaña municipal council member Juan David Pacheco and his wife.
The plane, operating flight Cúcuta to Ocaña, disappeared from radars on Wednesday, January 28. The search operation was hampered by difficult terrain and poor weather conditions.
