Painter dies at Novosibirsk enterprise on his first working day

In the Novosibirsk region, a painter died on his first working day after being cleared for independent work. This was reported by the State Labor Inspectorate for the region.

The tragedy occurred on 3 January in Kupino. At that time, the 34-year-old painter was applying inscriptions to a freight car trolley using a stencil. Around 23:20, after finishing work, the man sat down on a bench and complained to the foreman and the site supervisor about feeling unwell, after which he lost consciousness and fell.

The arriving emergency medics pronounced the employee dead.

A commission has been set up to investigate the incident. As part of the inspection, specialists are examining documents related to the deceased«s work, conducting an inspection of the scene and interviewing witnesses.

In December 2025, a watchman at kindergarten No. 249 ‘Luchik’ died while on duty. The 62-year-old man fell ill in the guard room in the evening. He lost consciousness and fell to the floor.
