Ozon Delivery Point Catches Fire in Verkhnyaya Pyshma
In Verkhnyaya Pyshma on the afternoon of 28 January, a major fire broke out on Kalinina Street. Smoke enveloped the entire street.
As reported to E1.RU by the regional Ministry of Emergency Situations (MChS), a delivery point of a large marketplace caught fire.
«A fire is burning inside the Ozon delivery point building. Preliminary estimates put the fire area at 400 square meters. No information about casualties has been received,» said the MChS press service.
The editorial board has requested a comment from the marketplace«s press service. The news will be updated when we receive a response.
Updated: Ozon reported that they will compensate for the cost of the burned goods.
«Fortunately, there are no casualties. We are in contact with the delivery point owner. Preliminary investigation suggests the cause was a wiring short circuit. Firefighters are currently on site. We will compensate customers and sellers for the cost of the damaged goods,» said the Ozon press service.
Another major fire occurred this morning in Uralmash — an auto service center near the Kurochkin Technical College caught fire. See what remains of the cars that were inside: a Chevrolet Lacetti was completely destroyed by fire, a Mitsubishi Lancer and Toyota Camry were scorched, and another car was rescued from the building by emergency responders.
This is not the first such incident in recent days. On the evening of 26 January, an auto service center on Chernyakhovsky Street was also ablaze. The fire damaged three expensive cars — two Toyota Land Cruisers and one Chery Tiggo.
