A fire in a barracks at 2nd Rimsky-Korsakov Lane was one of the significant incidents in Novosibirsk Oblast during 2025.

In 2025, 6,414 fires occurred in Novosibirsk Oblast. This was reported to NGS by the Main Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM) for Novosibirsk Oblast.

The Toguchinsky District recorded 316 fire incidents, adding to the total number of blazes across the region last year.

The fires resulted in 114 deaths in the region, including 9 children. Most often, the cause was careless handling of fire.
The department specified that the largest number of fires was recorded in the city of Novosibirsk (2,159 cases). Fires also occurred in the Novosibirsky (757 incidents), Iskitimsky (476 episodes), and Toguchinsky (316 incidents) districts of the oblast.
Previously, NGS reported on a fire in the Kirovsky District. On Christmas night, a private house caught fire, leaving a large family homeless.
