One killed, five injured in multi-vehicle crash on Tyumen highway

Medics have reported on the condition of the victims of the accident on the Tyumen–Omsk federal highway and have updated preliminary fatality figures. The multi-vehicle crash occurred on Wednesday afternoon, January 28, at the 32-kilometer mark of the road.
«At the scene of the accident, medics confirmed the death of one person. Five people were injured in the crash: one received treatment at the scene, and four patients were taken to OKB No. 2 hospital. Two patients in serious condition were hospitalized in a specialized department, while two patients in satisfactory condition were sent for outpatient treatment,» the Tyumen Regional Health Department reported.
According to the Tyumen Regional State Traffic Inspectorate (GIBDD), a Volvo truck crossed into the oncoming lane, hitting a Lada Granta car. This was followed by a collision with a KamAZ heavy truck and an Audi A6 car, and then a head-on collision with a Gazelle Next van. Specialists published several photos from the scene of the accident. They are horrific.
