On Wednesday, January 28, in Nyazepetrovsk, Chelyabinsk Region, a nine-year-old boy fell into an open well and died. Medics who arrived on the call pronounced the minor dead at the scene.
According to preliminary information from the regional government, the well was filled with groundwater and was not listed on the balance sheet of utility companies. It is believed that the facility was ownerless.
The authorities of Chelyabinsk Region have organized an inspection. «By order of the governor, a commission from the Ministry of Housing and Utilities of Chelyabinsk Region will travel to Nyazepetrovsk tomorrow morning to establish the ownership of the facility,» the government reported.
